Bronze award in the Nature/ Landscape category of PX3 2023
I’m very happy to have just found out that I’ve been awarded a Bronze award in the Nature/ Landscape category of the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris competition.
The image entitled Val d’Orcian Storm was taken during a recent trip to Tuscany in May. During the last couple of days of the photography tour that I was running storm clouds gathered overhead.
So what do you do? Basically, sit and watch to ensure you don’t miss any magic that might happen that’s what.
There were enough breaks in the clouds that light would sporadically fall on the rolling hills below. But then those clouds in the sky. They can only be described as biblical in nature. Truly stunning to behold.
So thank you so much to the PX3 Prix de la Photographie judges for putting my work through.
The image was taken with the following gear:
Canon R5 with Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L @ 33mm. f/11, ISO100 1/30 second exposure
My trusty Benro Mach 3 TMA38CL Carbon Fibre Tripod and GD3WH Geared Head
